Artist Statement

Painting is an internal and meditative process; my work is less concerned with image making and narrative than direct expression of how the substance of paint transmits my thoughts. Thus my work can be changeable and undogmatic. I never seek that which is comfortable, but that which challenges me to find what is deeper and messier, dig it out and make sense of it.
