Artist Statement

The aim of every artist is to arrest motion, which is life, by artificial means and hold it fixed so that a hundred years later, when a stranger looks at it, it moves again since it is life.

I paint because I am grateful for beauty. I lose myself as I work to represent that which touches me, and then I am able to share a bit of my bliss with others. A double blessing!
