Artist Statement

I have always believed that colors are not merely seen—they are felt. They carry emotion, memory, and quiet resilience, becoming a language through which I explore the human experience.

Rooted in the visual language of the traditional Madhubani art form of India, my work reinterprets its intricate patterns, symbolism, and disciplined linework through a contemporary perspective. Rather than preserving tradition unchanged, I seek to extend its conversation, creating works that honor cultural heritage while speaking to universal themes of transformation, inner strength, identity, and joy.

Working with acrylics, acrylic inks, pens, and mixed media, I build each composition through layers of color and meticulous detail. The repetition of patterns is both meditative and intentional, reflecting patience, resilience, and the belief that beauty emerges through thoughtful process.

I am inspired by the quiet poetry of everyday life—nature, rituals, relationships, and moments of reflection. My paintings invite viewers to pause, discover, and connect, revealing new details and meanings over time.

Through my work, I hope to create more than images. I strive to create spaces for contemplation, cultural connection, and emotional resonance—where color becomes a messenger of hope, strength, and possibility.
