Artist Statement

My art builds upon my early childhood artistic expression .... draw, scribble and explore with unfettered enthusiasm.

As an adult the expressive approach expanded from formal education and professional experiences, and life. But, the basic thinking from my childhood has remained; simple enjoyment of drawing expressively and enthusiastically.

My recent semi-abstract works represent an observational introspective of my art and its purpose of being. In the past few years plein air integrated with abstract thinking has become a focus … simply for the expressive childlike joy of it.

Many of my works have been in juried shows, galleries and museums nationally and internationally. I feel fortunate that my artwork has received awards, and has sold.
