Artist Statement

I am a printmaker working mainly in different forms of relief printing. I currently carve and print from wood blocks and Gomuban. I am also enjoying experimenting with Gelli plates and Cerography. I like moving back and forth from the time-consuming practice of carving and printing relief prints to the rapid nature of abstract monoprinting. Whether the process is long or short I always find there is a wonderful element of surprise in the finished print.
