Artist Statement


I am a professional representational artist with thirty-five years experience. The mediums I choose to work in are oil paints, pastels, and colored pencils. My main concentration is in landscapes, portraits, figures, and still life paintings. I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in oil painting and figure drawing, and My Masters Degree in Education at Wayne State University. I taught at Schoolcraft College and Macomb Community College, South Campus for fourteen years. I have exhibited my paintings at numerous galleries throughout Michigan, and in different states as well, winning first place, best of show, and second place in art shows. Some of my work has been published in magazines.
