Artist Statement

I make functional pots out of Red Earthware and paint them with a variety of tongue and cheek iconographies, jokes and metaphors.

I fire them a bit hotter than traditional Majolica so they ding like porcelain even while keeping that rich dark brick red hue that grounds us all like the foundations of our homes.
