Artist Statement

I began my painting career with an infatuation with soft pastels focusing on abstract, non-representational art. My initial approach involved exploring the depths of my imagination through vibrant colors and dynamic, gestural lines. By using various tools to create diverse textures, I aim to encourage viewers to dive deeper into the artwork and let their own imaginations shape their experience.

My more recent work centers on still lifes, arranged in a variety of settings. This collection represents a shift in my approach. I began questioning traditional painting rules and embraced a more personal style. By using bold, saturated colors and exaggerating shapes in an unexpected manner I sought to redefine how I approach the subject.

As an artist, I believe in the importance of constantly pushing boundaries and experimenting with new techniques. I constantly ask myself, 'What if I combined this techniques with another?' This spirit of exploration and refinement is driven by my love of color and the joy I find in discovering new ways to paint.
