Artist Statement

My work explores the relationship between material, time, and perception through a process of making, experimenting, and discovery. Rather than following a fixed plan, I work closely with the materials and allow each piece to evolve through a series of changes and adjustments. As I work, the original idea is shaped by the process itself, often leading to unexpected possibilities.

A central aspect of my practice is simplification. I gradually remove and refine elements in search of the essence of each piece. Guided by minimal expression, monochromatic palettes, and open space, I create abstract works that exist between the recognizable and the unknown.
Drawing inspiration from architecture, nature, and the quiet beauty of decay, my work explores materiality, transformation, and the passage of time. These influences come together in abstract landscapes that suggest places shaped by memory, change, and erosion. I am interested not only in how materials transform, but also in how our perception changes when we slow down and look closely.

At its core, my work is a search for stillness, awareness, and honesty. It reflects an interest in the quiet moments that often go unnoticed and the fleeting beauty that cannot be fully captured. Through abstraction, I invite viewers into a contemplative experience that encourages reflection and a deeper connection with the work.

In a world filled with constant information and distraction, my work offers an opportunity to pause, observe, and reconnect with what is essential. By reducing form to its most fundamental elements, I seek to create spaces where time feels suspended and meaning emerges through quiet attention.
