Artist Statement

My work explores the expression of time, its immensity, its quiet persistence, and the paradox of constant change held within moments of stillness. I am drawn to experiences that reveal both the vastness of time and the subtle, ongoing transformations that shape the world around us.
One of my earliest memories is of sitting on my mother’s lap as she pointed out the seeds of a strawberry, perfectly arranged along its surface. Her quiet observation of nature’s order left a lasting impression. Whether or not this moment sparked my fascination, it reflects the origin of my enduring curiosity about continuity, infinity, and the unseen structures that govern growth and change.
I find inspiration in myth, in natural patterns, and in fleeting moments that offer a glimpse of the sublime; those instances that gesture toward something immeasurable and unknowable. These encounters invite stillness and contemplation, grounding the infinite within the present.
Through my work, I seek to interpret these experiences by creating surfaces that carry evidence of time: marks of process, traces of entropy, layers of history, and gestures of renewal. I often employ invented patterns as a visual language, evoking the continuum of time and suggesting rhythms that extend beyond the confines of the image. Each piece becomes a record of transformation, embodying both the passage of time and the enduring structures that persist within it.
