Artist Statement

I start a painting with the intention of capturing a specific moment in time and create the composition that expresses my idea. The colors, forms, textures, and patterns on my pieces allow the artwork to come alive, and help the story develop with each layer. The joy of making art for me is in the creating, and transforming these ideas to the canvas.
I want the viewer to feel inspired to explore the work, examine the details, and imagine the story being told.
