“Plein air painting is a unique process; the artist faces the subject directly, stands and works in its presence. Unlike photography, painting allows and requires the artist to experience the passage of time, watching the light move and shift across the landscape. As an artist I do not simply record the scene, but interpret the forms and colors into my own composition.”
