Carolyn Shoemaker

Artist Statement

My name is Carolyn Shoemaker from Rochester, Michigan. I studied and earned my BA in Graphic Communications from the College for Creative Studies. I worked as a professional Graphic Designer for over 25 years and was always painting in my free time. In recent years I put my focus on just painting and began a new passion for teaching painting. I love to share my knowledge and I enjoy seeing the outcome of my students accomplishments. Gardening is another passion, which is why painting florals and landscapes are my favorite subjects to paint.
