Artist Statement
I have been lucky enough to reside in Bucks County for most of my years. I favor the vast array of barn designs and old building workmanship . ex: covered bridges. Farms provide picture perfect scenery ,Bucks County is abundant with wildlife and ever changing landscapes.
Natures' texture & a patterns.
The most common of subjects if isolated, are fascinating.
I enjoy photographing the patterns of all things in nature ,feathers, fields, flora, fauna ,wayer etc. Be it the skies at night or the cast of light at sunrise/ sunset / fog and storms. I enjoy catching intricacies of nature close up.
I am partial to capturing a photo of wildlife unexpectedly. An insight into the importance of all animals and the profound beauty of each close up .I am most partial to photographing the architecture of old barns/ buildings , the workmanship 17 and 18th century , the tools , difficulties and the hardships . The feeling you get as you admire and imagine living in that era of time..My husband and I own a small farm in Upper Bucks County where I have boarded horses for 38 years. Young ,old , some recovering from illness or injury..I only have retired horses, ponies and donkeys now. All are kept living as freely and naturally as possible. Thank you again. Carol Lloyd
