Nicki Toizer

Artist Statement

Glenside photographer and teacher, Nicki Toizer, grew up in the West Mt. Airy neighborhood of Philadelphia. Over the past 25+ years, she has captured trees, flowers, wildlife, and almost anything else found outside.

Millions of people visit the Statue of Liberty each year and I've seen many photos of her over the years. When I returned in 2026, I was able to go inside the Statue to visit the crown. This is the view from the bottom, before starting up the double-helix spiral staircase, showing off the interior. Photos don't do it justice.
