Artist Statement
Fiber materials themselves inspire me. The actual practice of weaving and manipulating those materials is the fun part. Whether it be fine tapestry wools, metallic lurex, recycled felted cut up sweaters, rags, or hard wearing rug yarns, I enjoy using them and combining them in rather expected ways but also, on the flip side, to try off the wall combinations, perhaps adding crochet, felting, hooking, embroidery, found objects, buttons, old jewelry, or wire. When it come to tapestry techniques eccentric and wedge weave are my favorites. I am a member of the What If School of Continuing Education.
