Samantha Perrelli

Artist Statement

Samantha Perrelli is an artist and photographer based in Branford, CT.
She photographs weddings with a focus on playful, intimate, and liminal moments; the fleeting in-betweens that happen just before, during, and after the big moments. With over 15 years working in the wedding industry working as both a lead photographer and a freelance second shooter, as well as day of coordinating. Samantha learned how to anticipate moments, adapt quickly, and hold space for real emotion. That experience allows her to move quietly when needed, step in with confidence when it counts, and create images that feel human, emotional, and lived-in rather than posed or perfect.
Alongside weddings, her personal practice mimics her wedding work exploring quiet moments, memory, and liminal space. These themes deeply resonate with and shaped her first curatorial experience with The Void Art Exhibition, a project rooted in the in-between, after everything and before anything. Both Sam’s art and wedding photography are guided by intuition, curiosity, and a love for what exists in the endless in-between.
