Artist Statement

I work primarily in the printmaking technique of monotypes, acrylic painting, and encaustic painting.

Working for many years creating monotypes, a painterly approach to creating one of a kind prints, I began to incorporate collage, drawing, and mixed media.

The visceral, abstract qualities of nature and the various aspects of architecture are my inspiration.

My work is an exploration of the interplay of congruent and disparate relationships in a world that holds many contradictions.

I strive to give the viewer a sense of wonder about the image, and to establish a personal dialogue between the viewer and the work.
