Artist Statement

My greatest influences as an artist began in rural New York where I explored puddles, marveled at fossils, and ran through fields of sparkling webs. When I breathed the sky became part of me. At night I wondered about forever and found it in the black between the stars. I read magical stories about powerful goddesses and enchanted apples, and all of it came to life as imagery that I would articulate with paint decades later.
I prefer mixed media and dimensional textures on canvas, with acrylic and oil paint, to which I add glow in the dark powders, iridescent mediums, purified rain water, earth and volcanic pigments.
My art studio is located in Santa Fe, where my current paintings are visual stories vibrant with feminine vitality.
