Artist Statement

I am an artist who has worked with photography, painting and film. My current work continues to weave between these media, often overlapping as in the case of my documentary 'I Never Said I Wasn't Happy'(2013). My subject matter has most often been explorations of my family, from portraiture to psychological study. Since the 2016 presidential election, my themes have expanded into the public realm with my flag series.
