Artist Statement
My series of sculptures is about the prevalence of children and guns in our society. The work deals with the simple universal themes of life, death, and the human condition. The concentration is based on two opposite forces created by man: 1) a newborn life made with love with another human being, and 2) mechanisms made for the sole purpose - to destroy and kill another human being. I am continually constructing my ideas as one-of-a-kind sculptures. Each day I see or hear how innocent children are cheated in some way by a world full of weapons and those who act irresponsibly. My sculptures contain strong images as symbols and are constructed to create an interpretation of this reality.
