Artist Statement

My approach in my art expression comes through my love and captivation of nature and its beauty. Sometimes it is rendered as a landscape I envision and other times it can be an exquisite detail …taking a closer look at something that most people miss. So the inspiration comes in the motivation to share that detail that says, “ Hey, don’t miss this ! “ Also my trusty camera presents a way to capture lush vegetation and blooms on my walks, so I use these as my resources for inspiration as well. I find that my artistic practice is one of finding more meaning in life through painting as a writer learns more about his or her subject matter, as well as the Self.
