Melissa Mansfield

Artist Statement

Melissa Mansfield (she/her) creates art to reshape perceptions and reimagine realities. Experimenting with mixed media–particularly collage and mosaics–she takes apart beautiful pieces to create new works. A former journalist, Melissa believes in the power of connection through storytelling and is dedicated to finding new ways to convey our shared experience.

Melissa is also a potter, fiber artist, and writer. She is a member of the Albany Art Room, Albany Center Gallery and the Upstate Artists Guild. She lives in the City of Albany with her husband and two sons.
