Pete Cheklich

Artist Statement

Pete Cheklich is a Rochester Hills artist who enjoys painting landscapes in realism. His paintings are done with a lot of detail, shading, use of lighting and perspective which aims to mirror reality. The majority of his paintings have been created with acrylics paints, but has used watercolor and most recently started to use oil paints. His paintings have been on display at various shows in Midland, Bloomfield Hills, Lake Orion, Rochester Hills, and an online PleinAir Art International Show. He started out being a self-taught artist, and then eventually took classes at Oakland Community College, Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center and Paint Creek Center for the Arts.
