Artist Statement

I believe making Art is healing. The creative process facilitates a connection to my subconscious, where experiences from my past influence my choices.
I found my creativity again in my late 20’s, then I learned I could use my creativity as an outlet.
I could release and express the feelings from past and current experiences. When I create I connect to my inner child, I access both the joy and the anguish. I “play” with the color, light, texture, to express my humor, grief, and spirituality. My expressions come out through multiple mediums including: glass art, found objects, cement, metal, drawings, paintings and process painting.
