Artist Statement

The theme of this piece is emotion. The colorful nature and beautiful skyline brings me a sense of calm and wonder. I can always see something different within this painting. I used acrylic paint, using paint brush strokes and a small sponge the make different techniques. This painting was influenced by a picture my son took in York PA while he was on his lunch break. He loved the scenery and knew that I would as well. Challenged by my son to paint the texted photo and encouraged by my husband this painting came about.
