Artist Statement

I've been interested in drawing since my early school years. I chose dry pastel as my primary medium. I also paint with acrylics and oils.
For several years now, I've been devoting most of my time to drawing from photos, as well as outdoors. I enjoy experimenting with color and light. I strive to seek out moments and places that inspire me with their uniqueness. I know that in art, first impressions are crucial and determine whether a drawing will stay with us for a long time. My work is an attempt to capture the surrounding reality, where light creates mood and color gives it form.
