Artist Statement

My work centers around the practice of healing, specifically exploring collective consciousness and the spiritual legacies we inherit from our ancestors. My primary focus is the healing of place and its inhabitants, utilizing a multidisciplinary approach that bridges quantum physics, mechanics, and geographical energy with the ancient wisdom of alchemy and the Kabbalah.

As a Jewish artist, water plays a crucial role in my work as a symbol of purification and renewal, which draws me naturally to the watercolor medium. A few years ago, I had a profound experience viewing the archival photographs taken in the Lodz ghetto by Henryk Ross. After capturing images of his work, I collaborated with my son to create risograph prints of these photographs.

In a meditative state, I apply water, color, and ancient transformative symbols to these prints. My intent is to elevate these haunting images from the Holocaust, moving them from a state of trauma into a space of spiritual transformation and rest.
