Artist Statement

My work examines identity, memory, and transformation through photography and time-based installation. I am interested in creating images and experiences that carry emotional weight while remaining open to interpretation, work that moves beyond documentation and into a more reflective, psychological space.

My practice is informed by surrealism, personal narrative, and the expressive potential of photography as both a visual and conceptual medium. Many of my projects begin with an idea rooted in emotion, symbolism, or lived experience, and develop into carefully constructed works that explore the relationship between what is seen and what is felt. I am particularly drawn to the tension between presence and absence, clarity and ambiguity, and the ways an image can suggest meaning without fully resolving it.
In recent years, my practice has expanded into interactive installation and video, where these same concerns take on a durational quality. When viewers become participants, their presence altering or contributing to the work itself, the boundaries between observer and subject dissolve. Memory becomes collective. The image becomes unstable. What is preserved and what is lost are no longer fixed.

Across all of my work, I seek to create photographs and experiences that invite sustained attention and personal reflection. Rather than offering fixed conclusions, I aim to present work that encourages viewers to engage with emotion, memory, and the layered complexity of human experience.
