Artist Statement

My background is in architectural illustration so I am driven to draw or paint the neglected and abandoned building, farm, industrial site, this is what interests me. I look for a piece of humanity to include in my work, some object or structure. I do appreciate the beauty and wonder of nature but I enjoy the challenge of architecture, both two point and arial perspective. Important to me in my work is seeing the negative space as well as the positive.
