Artist Statement

After a 40+ year career as a clinical social worker, I am ready to move on to the next important chapter in my life as an artist. I have experienced wonderful teachers, mentors and classes that have helped me grow and develop as an artist. I am lucky to have come from a family that valued the importance of creativity and the arts. I am so excited to begin this journey and am happiest when I am "in the zone"in my studio. I try to approach my work with a "beginner's mind", with a goal of continuing to learn and grow.
