Guen Sublette

Artist Statement

Guen's artistic journey around the country started with various mountain plein air and studio workshops at the Art Students League in Denver, Colorado, followed by further explorations alongside masters at the Art Students League of New York. With her most recent move back to her native East Bay, she seeks to infuse her work with the diversity of her local environment, all the while exploring the interplay of light, shape, and movement through pigment and brushstroke.
