Artist Statement

Growing up in Houston, Texas, the night sky was often obscured by city lights, yet a fascination with the stars, space, and constellations found its way in. After moving to New Mexico, the darkness revealed a universe only seen in movies for a city girl. Surrounded by vast landscapes and open skies, astrophotography became a way to capture and preserve the beauty and the inner peace found through the connection with the Dark sky. This practice has become a vital part of being grounded and deeply connected, while quietly emphasizing the importance of protecting dark skies so these moments of awe remain visible for future generations.
