Artist Statement

Brooke Gavelle resides in Northwest Montana, where the land tickles her imagination and is intrinsic to her creations. Her reverence for the natural world invites her to pick up the paintbrush and witness not just the physical manifestation but the whimsical aspects, too.
Sometimes she paints what she sees; sometimes she paints to see.
She is a self-taught artist with only two years of formal training under her belt at the Las Vegas Academy of Arts highschool. Oil painting is her main devotion, though her side quests take her into the domains of coppersmithing, jewelry making, sculpting, and leatherworking.
