Artist Statement

What is motivating me right now is wearable art that contends with the fallen world, protects us from the elements, and feeds our spirit and imagination by directly reflecting many facets of our reconciliation with God throughout the span of church history. Icons, architecture, the Theotokos - mother with child- the Ark, that is the church, that are the great cathedrals. The merging of graffiti - human creativity pushing individuality in rejection of the machine- layered with the order and safety of the institution of the Church founded on the Word.. and making the cosmic battle that is unseen, illustrated.
