Artist Statement

I am a self taught painter interested in color and something beyond pretty. I hope that the viewer feels something or is curious about the story in or beyond the painting.i have been told that my girls are conversation starters especially when there are 2 or 3 on a wall. Love color but also creating something that evokes emotions and questions. I primarily paint figures, but I'm also interested in abstract work and some of that abstraction is coming into the faces of my girls.
