Artist Statement
I see ceramics as a space of remembering—where earth, water, air, and fire work together. I primarily create hand-built stoneware, drawn to texture, carving, and layered glaze experimentation. Nature is my main guide—especially the ocean, trees, and the feeling of following a trail—shaping both form and surface. Small natural traces and coastal-inspired details often appear in my work as carriers of “place” and memory.
Much of what I make lives close to everyday rituals: bowls, cups, plates, and decorative forms. I want each piece to offer a quiet, poetic presence—something that invites slowing down, noticing the maker’s hand, and reconnecting with the natural character of the material. My studio practice is both craft and inner practice, shaped by attention, patience, and curiosity.
