Artist Statement

Based in the United States and shaped by my upbringing in Europe, I carry a sense of duality that informs both my art and my professional life. I am a painter, educator, and innovation leader, driven by a commitment to challenge the status quo and to embrace ambiguity as a space for discovery.
My work investigates the relationships, fragility, and resilience of human connections and ecologies.
Each piece begins with an orchestration of created, existing, or recycled paper elements: torn or cut, remnants, and fragments. The collage becomes a tactile map sewn together with visible thread, allowing the act of mending to become both a gesture of care and an acknowledgment of rupture. The stitches serve as delicate reminders, holding the work intact while revealing the tensions beneath. They trace lines of connection much like the networks—physical, social, and ecological—and each fragment carries its own identity, yet gains new meaning through its proximity to others.
A flash of neon cuts through the surface, casting a glow across the composition and suggesting the invisible bond that connects us: messy, improvised, and imperfect, yet strong enough to hold us together and carry us forward.
