Artist Statement

We are sisters that after spending most of our adult lives far away from each other, are finally living in the same area. Because both of us had an arts/crafts hobby that we loved, we partnered to begin selling at art fairs in 2019. We did one fair that Summer and then had an unexpected break due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Linda creates fused glass and has been working in this medium for about 10 years. Opening the kiln after melting glass at very high temperatures is always a surprise. Most days it is a happy surprise but a disappointing surprise is always a learning experience.
Mary works in paper and constructs primarily 3D pieces. Vignettes under glass cloches are a favorite piece. She loves papercrafting because of the versatility. Except for the fragility of paper, you can create almost anything!
Glass, Paper, Sisters sells their pieces almost exclusively at art fairs and have been recognized with several awards at shows along the lake front in Western Michigan.
