Artist Statement

Ever since I was young, I have relied on my art to express myself and to connect with others. I truly believe that art has the power to unify and heal. I don't strive to make my work wholly dark and macabre or fluffy and cute, but to make space for every human experience and reveal the unique beauty in each.
I received my BFA in Studio Art, where practiced with many different traditional mediums from charcoal to oil paint to marker and ink. Since then I have been sharpening my skills in digital art applications like Photoshop, Clip Studio and Procreate and am constantly refining my approach to anatomy, form, composition and color. My background in studio art has encouraged me to think outside the box and take creative risks when solving problems.
