Artist Statement

I thought the variety in my artwork awarded me a seat outside of the box, but despite this, I am writing to you from the box. I am, most often, a conceptual artist. While this broadly comes in the form of acrylic paintings, I have roots in pencil drawings, have wandered into linoleum block printing, and have aspirations of shaping thoughts into sculpture. I create art for 2 reasons. Firstly, to give life to ideas that words can’t quite hold, the ones that stir something quiet, or make people uncomfortable. Secondly, and my personal favorite, is because I feel like it. To create is to be human.
