Artist Statement

I draw inspiration from familiar natural subjects—florals, lands, and changing skies—as a framework for exploring color, gesture, and surface. I aim to capture the energy and quiet beauty of these landscapes and reinterpret them through the use of bold color, texture and visible brushwork. Through this approach, I hope to create paintings that invite viewers to slow down and engage more closely with the beauty of the natural world.
