Vincent Coakley

Artist Statement

Vincent Coakley is a budding photographer who first picked up a camera on loan from a friend on a trip in July 2025. Since then, he has had the chance to immerse himself in the world of photography, from capturing moments as simple as the view from his backyard to as large as the sunrise over the Smokey Mountains. In his work, Vincent strives to find different, unique perspectives to capture and share his vision of the world, working with different angles, physically moving to reimagine backgrounds, and never being afraid to try the unorthodox. In the future he hopes to continue to define his work to reflect his perspective, particularly in relation to the political nature of the world we inhabit.
