Artist Statement

If only I had been born a trust-fund baby – I could have been shooting for my entire life. Instead, I fell into this passion at 65 after a career in advertising (writing copy that nobody read). Now, my pictures are my words. In the summer, I'll be traipsing around in fields picking ticks off my body while photographing insects. But it's the city where I thrive. Street photography. Bad shots, missed opportunities and people getting angry for having their picture taken. But then you get that one great shot. You're on top of the world. Until the next day when you start all over again.
