Artist Statement

I live within walking distance of a lake, and this piece captures a misty morning starting to clear at the water's edge. It is an acrylic painting with some collage elements (painted acrylic on various papers) and alcohol and acrylic inks.

I have been an exhibiting artist since 1992, and have been teaching mixed media classes and workshops since 2009, currently at the Oak Park Art League. To see more of my work, please visit www.jackielakely.com.
