Artist Statement

In the spring of 2020, when the world came to a standstill, this textile piece was born. With limited supplies and an excess of time, I constructed hundreds of small hand stitched balls. The meditative and repetitive process during their creation became a coping mechanism for the uncertainty and anxiety of the Covid-19 lockdown. Each ball represents a moment passed, a small victory against boredom, transforming excess time into a physical and textured form.
