Artist Statement

"The Awakening" is an exploration of emergence. My painting is about the quiet, often turbulent process of becoming aware. In this abstract piece, I sought to capture the emotional and psychological experience of transformation. It's the exploration of many, micro moments that stirs dormant thoughts into being seen.
