Artist Statement
My work explores the collapse of linear time through surreal environments that function as both psychological and physical spaces. Within these unstable worlds, time fragments and scale shifts, reflecting the tension between internal states and external forces. Past, present, and imagined futures coexist as the boundaries of time and place dissolve.
Fragmentation and reassembly are central to both the meaning and construction of my work. I combine found imagery with my own photographs, printing and hand-cutting each element before assembling layered physical collages. The completed collages are presented as limited-edition archival prints on aluminum.
Figures often appear suspended within fragmented landscapes and shifting architecture, conveying vulnerability alongside resilience. I am drawn to states of transition, where environments remain in flux and familiar forms become unfamiliar.
Rooted in experiences of displacement and resettlement, my work explores alienation and the fragility of the human experience, while considering how memory and emotion can shape our sense of place and belonging. The works remain open to multiple interpretations, allowing meaning to remain fluid.
