Artist Statement

Although my formal education was in the sciences I have always considered myself an artist. I do not find the arts and sciences to be mutually exclusive. I walk in search of a subject - it could be endless blocks or just a few steps before a connection is made. I am fascinated by the geometry if architecture. Water towers are wonderful with their perfect cones and cylinders straight out of a child's book of shapes.
There is more than simple geometry, there is an emotional connection to each one I paint.
