Artist Statement

I have been a big fan of artistic expression since receiving my first box of 64 crates as a young child! Watercolor is my medium of choice now, I find wonder in the luminosity of watercolor. The way the colors relate to one another and move around the page is pure watercolor magic. I have lived in the Pacific Northwest for over 35 years and draw inspiration from the beauty that surrounds me on a daily basis. I find joy in recreating the colors and patterns I see in nature - the intricacies of a petaled flower, the pattern of veins in a leaf, the feathers on a bird - Mother Nature at her finest!
